The Ven. Laurie Brock
The Ven. Laurie Brock is the author of 2 books about faith and horses - Horses Speak of God and the forthcoming God, Grace, and Horses. She serves as the Rector of St. Michael the Archangel Episcopal Church in Lexington, Kentucky, and previously served churches in Alabama and Louisiana. Growing up in Alabama and Mississippi, she found a deep love of sharing our stories as a holy act as well as an appreciation for good Southern food. Before being ordained an Episcopal priest, Laurie was an attorney in Alabama. She has served as a crisis chaplain at Ground Zero and in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. She currently serves in this same capacity with the City of Lexington police department. Laurie has been a featured speaker for many groups in the areas of grief, messy faith, and finding your voice. When she's not at church or at the barn, you'll find her walking her rescue pup Evie or enjoying a good book.
